WARDEN

Next-generation equipment. One system
Personal equipment and wearable technologies
Research
WARDEN is a prospective modular personal equipment system that combines protective gear, clothing, helmets, wearable electronics, power systems, and exoskeleton technologies.

About the project

The project centers on creating a single integrated kit whose components are designed from the outset for compatibility, ergonomics, and interaction with one another.
From basic protective gear to an intelligent wearable system with sensors, augmented reality, and mechanical body support.
WARDEN is not a single piece of equipment. It is a comprehensive platform for personal outfitting.

A complete set that works together

Equipment should be a system, not a set of separate items
A modern soldier’s kit may include body armor, a helmet, load-bearing systems, communications gear, electronics, power sources, and specialized equipment.
Each additional component raises the requirements for compatibility, weight distribution, comfort, and maintenance.
WARDEN takes an integrated approach to equipment development.
The fit of protective elements, mounts, equipment placement, cable infrastructure, and load distribution are treated as parts of a single design.
A modular architecture makes it possible to assemble different kit configurations while maintaining compatibility between the main components.

1
All devices. One interface
Personal digital hub
WARDEN envisions a compact wearable hub that brings together the kit’s compatible electronic components.
The hub works with a smartphone or a specialized PDA running AGATA.
Through a single interface, the user will be able to get information on connected devices, battery status, sensors, and available functions.

2
Body support
Modular exoskeleton architecture
Passive and active EXO systems are being researched as additional equipment components.
The modular approach allows separate systems to be developed for the back, legs, and shoulder girdle without having to replace the entire base kit.
03 / 04
3
Status sensors
Wearable sensor system
WARDEN provides for integrating sensors to obtain information on equipment status, environmental conditions, and certain physiological indicators of the user.
Data is transmitted to the personal digital hub and displayed through compatible software interfaces.

4
Personal devices
Expandable equipment ecosystem
The modular architecture makes it possible to provide for connecting external cameras, navigation devices, communication modules, and compatible robotic systems.
A separate prospective area is the integration of personal miniature unmanned devices for obtaining additional visual information.
